Sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua) is a plant native to China and is part of the Asteraceae family. There are around 180 species of wormwood. Sweet wormwood reaches heights of over 2 m.

Artemisia annua is used in Alternative medicines - traditional Chinese medicine for 2,000 years to treat fever and malaria.  Researchers argue and proved sweet wormwood was found to contain several active substances including artemisinin.
,,Artemisinin" is the concentrated plant extract "Artemisia annua" (sweet wormwood), wormwood has among other properties, namely removes low energy or evil. Artemisia annua or sweet wormwood plant is a miracle that you can grow a tranquil garden.
One study at Washington University (USA) indicates that American researchers tested a drug against cancer whose active substance is extracted from wormwood. A recent paper published in "Life Science" has involved studying a plant, called popular "sweet wormwood", its scientific name is "Artemisia annua," raising hopes outcomes of cancer patients. "Artemisinin" is the concentrated extract that is found in all variants of the artemisia plant. Mixed with iron, researchers found that within 16 hours 98% of the cancer cells were killed ". This looks very promising",, this is a huge breakthrough, " said Gary Poser, a chemist at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. 
When used in singular artemisinin, it found only a 28% reduction in cancer cells, mixing iron seems to be the key point.

Experiments in animals have shown that the extract of Artemisia promotes the destruction of cancer cells, leukemia, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. Traditional methods of treatment not only destroy cancer cells but also healthy ones. The usual chemotherapy has severe side effects, every ten cancer cells and a healthy cell is destroyed. Sweet wormwood extract kills 12,000 cancer cells, and only one healthy !! 
This plant can be used also in cancer cures, diseases of the pancreas, the biliary tract, colitis.
Most often, the sweet wormwood is used as an infusion or tincture.
The infusion is prepared from two tablespoons of sage leaves in a cup of boiling water, leaving to infuse for 15 minutes. Drink one-quarter cup of infusion three times a day, 30 minutes before a meal. To prepare the tincture, 50 g plant put in 500 ml of alcohol, leave to soak three weeks in a dark place, shaking occasionally. Then filter and take 15-20 drops three times a day 15-20 minutes before meals. If colitis, it can be mixed with wormwood sage leaves. This mixture was prepared a decoction concentrated in one tablespoon is taken every two hours.
It is an excellent detoxifier, antiseptic, digestive stimulant, and antiparasitic.
